Kill the Betrayers reviews (in portuguese)
METALCLUBE
‘Whiped, Crowned and Dead’, segunda faixa, é prova disso! At One With the Darkness’.
Os exímios trabalhos do guitarrista Fabiano Penna fizeram da trabalhada ‘Hit The Wealk’ e da veloz ‘We Take Revenge’, duas gratas surpresas!
A oitava faixa leva o nome do disco. Certíssimo, pois a faixa “Kill the Betrayers” relembra um pouco o primeiro disco e ainda apresenta peculiaridades interessantes!
- Metalclube (http://www.metalclube.com/content/view/7954/31/)
WHIPLASH
- Whiplash (http://whiplash.net/materias/cds/096730-ordher.html)
NOVOMETAL
Death Metal puro e intenso.
- Novometal (http://www.novometal.com/reviews/ler.php?id=2233)

THE ORDHER - NEW LINE UP
THE ORDHER have line-up changes on drums: Cássio Canto, one of the new promisses of Brazilian Death Metal joins the band three month ago replacing Maurício Weimar. He has been doing a great work behind the drums, and he is ready to play the entire set of The Ordher on the next gigs between June and July, during the promotion of Weaponize!!!

WEAPONIZE REVIEWS
"Brazilian Death Metal has now its new great band. (…) We’re talking about eleven tracks heavy to the bone, very fast almost all the time and really aggressive. (…) Behind this ’wall’ of sonic obscenities, you’ll find excellent guitar riffs (some of them very technical indeed), deadly rhythm stuff, an incredible bass and drums work, infernal vocals, guitar leads incredibly well done, high level production, very tight playing (these guys play really well) and the way these guys master the style they play is great.
ROCK BRIGADE MAGAZINE - Brazil (8,5 out of 10)
"The Ordher basically stands for a brutalized assault of raw and extreme death metal as paved by both these two bands (Rebaelliun and Nepahsth) in the past. It is obvious that high quality and above all brutal stuff can be expected from The Ordher guys. It would be quite easy to name some major names having influenced the guitarist Penna to create these lethal deadly metal hymns. The band delivers the material filled with utter blast beat drumming to the more heavy groove oriented stuff like such as the song "Father" which happens to be one of my personal favorite tunes off the album. The whole 11 track output is an uncompromising maelstrom of brutal death metal. The vocalist Lentino’s brutal and deep deadly grunts definitely fit the whole death metal assault by The Ordher. (...) WEAPONIZE is a must for anyone digging the real Brazilian death …"
METAL-RULES WEBZINE (4,0 out of 5,0)
"The skills of the musicians is something really impressive. Beside the fact they all have great individual performances on the album, the same guys produced and mixed it, with great results. Lentino’s vocals are raw but very comprehensible, and all the bass lines played by him are very heavy. The riffs and guitar leads of Fabiano are killer, with a lot of feeling as well as Weimar’s drums, sometimes extremely brutal, sometimes heavier, with groove. These variations make "Weaponize" an excellent album. From the title track to the last shot, "Blessed Be All Wars", we have a technical and violent sound. Tracks such as "You’ve Become My Enemy", "Rise", "Father" and the very fast "Shot" will be able to break some necks and live will crush every fans of the band."
WHIPLASH WEBZINE - Brazil (9,0 out of 10)
"An album that kicks you in the stomach. It’s brutal from the first deadly second to the final tone. Brutal death metal, written by the Brazilian band. To those of you who remember Rebaelliun, Mr. Penna is an essential part of The Ordher. "Weaponize" is basically a good death metal album. It has all the necessary ingredients and there’s enough variation to make it last several spins. That the production is strong is of course an addition to the positive remarks, and the band slows down a bit in the middle of the album is also in favour of the release. It takes "Weaponize" as a whole a bit more dynamic than it already is."
INHOTEP WEBZINE - Norway (5,0 out of 6,0)
"Not everything on this album is speed, tracks such as "Rise" and "Father" are heavier and slower, tracks that will please the traditional death metallers. The facility that this band have to turn from fast parts to heavy ones is their great mark, as we can hear on tracks like "Won’t Stand Behind The Line" and "Through The Walls". With "Weaponize" THE ORDHER has proved that they came to stand and can go even further."

THE ORDHER FIRST ALBUM
CONFIRMED:
The debut album of THE ORDHER named WEAPONIZE will be released in October 23rd in America and Europe. The album was recorded and mixed in the home-town of THE ORDHER, Porto Alegre, RS (southernmost state in Brazil) during February and March of 2007. The fans of extreme metal will be surprised with 11 songs not only based on extreme velocity and lots and lots of blast beats, but also with extremely heavy guitars and basses in low velocities passages, potent vocal lines and impressive lyrics (and some very interesting surprises within the extreme metal genre). The release of the debut album of THE ORDHER is one of the most expected releases for 2007 and I guarantee you that the band will not disappointed anyone who wait until now!!!!

WELCOME TO THE BLOG OF THE ORDHER (Brazilian Death Metal Band)
Welcome to the blog in honor to the Brazilian Death Metal Band THE ORDHER. My intention with this blog is to publish (maybe diarily, maybe not...ehehehehe) some of the pictures that I took from the band during the first rehearsals sessions in 2006.
Below you will find the complete history of the THE ORDHER and what are the main plans of the band. Such text was "stolen" from the official web page from the band (www.theordher.com) but I know that the guys will not kill me for that....ehehehehehehe
If you want to see more pictures or hear some of the songs from THE ORDHER, you can also access the adress www.myspace.com/theorderextreme. Any comment, suggestion and criticism will be really appreciated, for me and certainly for Fabiano Penna, Fábio Lentino and Maurício Weimar!!!
HAIL THE ORDHER
Fabio Lentino (vox/bass), Mauricio Weimar (drums) and Fabiano Penna (guitars): this is the team called THE ORDHER. They’re three of the most talented musicians in the Brazilian Metal scene, actually ex members of two of the biggest acts that came out from Brazil on the late 90’s but already split up: REBAELLIUN and NEPHASTH. Fabio Lentino and Mauricio Weimar, both from NEPHASTH, the responsible for two well acclaimed albums (Mighty Music), a huge Brazilian tour (shared the stage with bands such as HATE ETERNAL, BEHEMOTH and VADER) and a status of the most promising band from South America on the last years. Fabiano Penna, leader and songwriter of REBAELLIUN, the combo that made two albums and two EP’s (Hammerheart Records), 4 European tours (some beside bands as DEICIDE, CANNIBAL CORPSE and VADER), a Brazilian tour, and that even today keeps alive a strong fan base worldwide. This union could not happen in a better time, after the end of their previous bands; they’re now together under the name THE ORDHER.
The short history
The project started around April ’05, when the group did the first rehearsals still checking out how would be playing together… quickly they all were aware that it would work out very well, so the true work took place instead the first jam sessions, and music started to be developed. The band wrote a lot of stuff, recorded it many times and kept trying some different ways, till they reached what they now classify as the music of THE ORDHER. So between July and August ’06 they recorded their official demo with 3 songs: “Rise”, “The Poison” and “Father”, a stuff made to reach even record labels and Metal fans all over the world, since band decided to make the songs available on the web straight from their official website at www.theordher.com as well as their page at Myspace ( www.myspace.com/theorderextreme ).
The music
Although most of people involved in the extreme Metal world think that it will be a mix of REBAELLIUN and NEPHASTH, THE ORDHER is not just the result of the end of two great bands. Of course fans will recognize the sound of the powerful voice of frontman Fabio Lentino, will once more get shocked with how fast and tight is Mauricio Weimar on the drum kit, and will also get familiar with the vicious guitar riffs and twisted guitar leads of Fabiano Penna. But this band is not based only on the Death Metal camp, and does not depend on speed only to sound as powerful and heavy as the music of the demo sounds. THE ORDHER use and abuse of all kinds of elements available for Metal genre and even Rock genre to try to sound unique in an age where most of bands sound just as one…
